Lee Starfford Treatment for hair that doesnt grow past a certain length.... first impressions

Hellooo...
I got my hair cut on the 21st of May 2013, i had such bad dead ends and it needed a good trim to make it feel better. Once my hair was cut I thought this was a good time to start a hair growth journey, as I have been growing my hair now for about 2 years now. I got my hair cut over 2 years ago now and I got the Frankie Sanford hair style and I loved it at first but after a short amount of time I got bored of it and kind of regretted going for the plunge :(. 2 years later my hair has had 2 cuts now and I am happy with the length it is at and now it is healthy again, I want to keep it that way.

Here is my hair after I got it cut, my hairdresser kept the length cause he knows I want to grow it out. ( haha I think I am a princess :P)

So after I got my hair cut I went shopping after and decided after a very long time of thinking to purchase the lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment. You can get it for £7.99 for a 200ml tub from boots (the somtimes do 3for2 deals every now and again).

When I say "hair growth treatment" I don't mean its gonna make your hair grow many inches in a matter of weeks, this product provides protein which your hair needs to help it grow, gives your hair a "healthy environment".

Above is pictures of the product, the mask itself is quite a runny formula, easy to rub into the scalp.

How to use:
use after shampooing, grab a egg size amount and massage into the scalp, leave for 5 minutes, rince the condition.... I dont use an egg size as that is way to much to put in my hair plus I only have a small head haha.

My first impressions:
I have been using this product for about 3 weeks now and I have to say I love this product, but when I used it for the first few washes inbetween my shampoo and contioner my hair went quite greasy quickly and my hair went a bit flat, so i decided not to use my conditioner as i think it may have been a bit to much for my hair, once I have used this tun I will go back to using my conditioner. Without my conditioner my hair is so nice and doesnt go greasy as quickly, my hair is more shiney, alot softer and not as knotty and my hair always gets knotty, its made my hair feel so much healthier.

Excuse my face (lazy makeup day haha), i do feel my hair has grown slightly since I have been using this product, comparing to the first picture when I got my hair trimmed, may just be me but we will see after I have used it a bit longer :). Gonna do a update in a month so the 3rd of July/ish another post will be up.

If your hair is in quite bad condition and your trying to grow it, I would recommend Lee stafford as it will make your hair healthier and prepare it for growth.

Hope this helps and if you have any questions just post a comment and I will get back to you

Newlook Disco Pants, cheapest American Apparel dupe!!!

I have been wanting to buy the American Apparel Disco Pants for ages but the price of £70-£74 was the only thing putting me off, I am a student so cant go wasting money. I have seen the Topshop dupes but they were £30 quid and the button on them was cheap looking and there was alot of bad review on laddering etc.

So I was just browsing around Newlook and what do I see at the corner of my eye?.... Disco Pants!!!

There was one pair just on their own with  the Wetlook leggings (which were not my cup of tea if you ask me), they were a size 8 and even though I am a size 8 on my waist but the rest of me is a 10 somtimes a 12 (depending wear I shop). So even though I had no chance I had to just try them on seen as it was the last pair on the rail, and what came to a shock when I tried them on..... They fitted PERFECT!!!

They are by a another company which is part of NewLook called Cameo Rose.

PICTURES!!!..... Excuse the background I am in my room at uni haha :P

My camera is not giving these much justice but got no one to take a picture of me in them at the moment :(

Pro's
  • Good quality thick material
  • Button is not cheap looking (unlike the Topshop one)
  • No laddering and I have worn them ALOT!!
  • the price for these was £16.99 ((£15 somthing with my student discount)
Con's
  • The only con I could think of was the stock avaliability, and even on the website there was not many sizes left in stock, if newlook knows they are popular, shouldn't they get more in?
Overall an AMAZING CHEAP dupe for the AA Disco Pants so I would keep you eyes peeled and if you see them in your local newlook, snatch them up like you have no choice :). I will purchase the American Apparel one day as they are so beautiful but until i save up for them my dupes will do just fine :).

here is the link to the website if you would lile to have a look
Hope this post helps and if you like I will do a how I style video and blog post featuring these disco pants :).

Hope everyone is well and having a good day
